Mr. Justice Madan Lokur (Judge, Supreme Court of India) – Chair

j.ajaykmittalJustice Lokur Born on 31st December 1953. He studied at Modern School, Obtained LL.B. degree from Faculty of Law, Delhi University in 1977.Enrolled as an Advocate on 28th July 1977. Practiced in the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court. Qualified the examination and enrolled as an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court in 1981. Has vast experience in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Revenue and Service laws. Central Government Standing Counsel from December 1990 to December 1996. Designated as Senior Advocate in February 1997. Appointed as Additional Solicitor General of India on 14th July 1998.Appointed as Judge of the Supreme Court on 4th June 2012. Member of the Mediation & Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India since its inception in 2005. The judge in charge of the E-Committee of the Supreme Court of India. Appointed as one Man Committee to suggest improvements in the working of the Homes and organization under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection and Children) Act, 2000 and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2007.

Mr. Anil Xavier  (Advocate & President IIAM)-  Vice Chair – 

j.ajaykmittalAnil Xavier is a practicing lawyer since 1991. He has been involved in multiparty complex civil / business/commercial / corporate mediations and arbitrations. He is the President of the Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation (IIAM), Vice President of the India International ADR Association (IIADRA) and Executive Committee member of the ADR Law Section of the Indian National Bar Association (INBA).He is the Chairman of the Accreditation Committee of the Asian Mediation Association, Hong Kong to prepare mediation guidelines for AMA Member countries. He is the first IMI Certified Mediator from India and empanelled as International Accredited Mediator of the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC), Singapore and the Florence International Mediation Chamber (FIMC) of the Chamber of Commerce, Italy. He is nominated as one of the world’s leading practitioner in the field of ADR by Who’s Who Legal 2016, London, UK. Was instrumental in developing Community Mediation Service by IIAM and is a member of the CMS Public Committee implementing Community Mediation Clinics in India. He is a member of the Editorial Board of “ADR World”, emagazine of the India International ADR Association and a member of the Advisory Council of online law journal, “International Journal of Advanced Research in Law and Social Science” of the Lords Advocate, India.

Acting as Mediator at Punjab and Haryana High Court Mediation Centre, Chandigarh acting as Mediator at Delhi Dispute Resolution Society (DDRS), Govt. of NCT Delhi. She has successfully conducted mediations as a Private Mediator and also hosting website. She has been involved in the practice of Mediation since 2010 and is an acting as Mediator at Supreme Court Mediation Centre, New Delhi. Acting as Mediator at Punjab and Haryana High Court Mediation Centre, Chandigarh acting as Mediator at Delhi Dispute Resolution Society (DDRS), Govt. of NCT Delhi. She has successfully conducted mediations as a Private Mediator and also hosting website. She has undergone training on concept and techniques of mediation conducted by Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee Supreme Court of India. She holds the distinction of solving more than 100 matters through Mediation while working as Mediator at Delhi, Dispute Resolution Society (DDRS).


Mr. Anuroop Omkar - (Advocate & Mediator) - Member

Anuroop Omkar.jpgAnuroop Omkar is the director and promoter of Bridge Mediation and Consulting Pvt. Ltd. India (BMCPL). He is a partner with AK & Partners (Law Firm). He holds a B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) degree from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, India. He is a professional Mediator and Negotiator trained from U.S.A and Europe. He has co-authored the Indian legal best seller titled “The Art of Negotiation and Mediation- Wishbone, Funnybone & a backbone” published by LexisNexis in 2015. He is the youngest appointed mediator at Delhi Dispute Resolution Society, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of Delhi. He was instrumental in the drafting of the mediation rules under Indian Companies Act. He is the Trainer and course consultant to Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India for a training program on commercial mediation and negotiation. He is a life member of International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ICADR), Ministry of Law and Justice. He is an Expert Contributor for NCLT & NCLAT Member Induction Training Programme on Mergers and Acquisitions and Alternate Dispute Resolution. He is a visiting faculty to SIDBI MSME International Training Institute (SITI), Bhubaneswar, and National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA). He is an empanelled mediator with the National Company Law Tribunal.


Mr. Siddharth Gupta – (HathBerry Corp, Digital Agency) - Logistics

siddarh.jpgA graduate from Delhi University and post graduate from Indian Institute of Planning and Management, also holding diplomas and certification in programming languages, graphics and Digital Marketing, Siddharth started his professional career in 2003 with one of the leading IT company. Proceeding further to experience and explore the international standards in IT sector he moved to Canada and worked as a Creative Head with MIS Software company. After moving back to India with an upgraded level of skills added to his pool, Siddharth worked with companies like Ranbaxy, Showman and Prosource. 
Then finally the time to take a leap and that is when HathBerry Corp. was born in 2011. With Siddharth's knowledge and experience bag of 14 years, which he invested in the foundation of the company; today HathBerry is proud to present the work of over more than 100 clients successfully delivered and still onboard with them. Over the course of more than three years HathBerry even expanded the brand into owning a luxury product – Whiskey Stones and innovative concept lounge to promote golf in India with an Indoor Golf Lounge – Urbane18.


Mr. Nisshant Laroia ( Law Student ) - Research

siddarh.jpgNisshant is a 4th year student pursuing his BA/LLB Hons from Gujarat National Law University, India.  He is heading the Global Pound Conference India, Knowledge Team.

He is an accredited mediator from the International Mediation Institute, Hague, Indian institute of arbitration and management and Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in association with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
To spread awareness about ADR he has coached various student teams going for ADR tournaments and takes capacity building sessions as a visiting faculty in Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow and Nirma University, Ahmedabad.
Nisshant was adjudged the Best mediator at the 2nd RMNLU mediation competition, Best mediator runners up Vis (East)Hong Kong and finalist at the 2nd Symbiosis ADR Tournament.
(He is an ardent believer in the ADR mechanisms and their power to settle disputes in an amicable, timely and an efficient manner.)
